Staff Profiles

Katharine Dill, PART Director, is a Ph.D. candidate (social work), University of Toronto. Prior to returning to graduate school, Katharine spent sixteen years in child welfare as a front- line staff member, supervisor, agency trainer and project manager. She has taught clinical and community-based courses in the Masters of Social Work program at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto and in the Bachelor of Social Work Program at Renison College at the University of Waterloo. Her dissertation topic is a qualitative analysis of kinship and foster care placements. Aside from her dissertation topic, Katharine also has interests in other topics that include child welfare supervision, knowledge translation and program design and evaluation and teaching in social work practice. She has published 3 articles on child welfare supervision, with several other publications in progress. She plans to complete her dissertation in December 2009.
